AquaGold Microinfusion

AquaGold is a microinfusion device that delivers a customized cocktail of ingredients — which may include diluted neuromodulators, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and peptides — directly into the superficial dermis through hair-thin gold-plated needles. The result is skin-level delivery without the volumizing effect of traditional filler.

Off-label use notice: AquaGold microinfusion may include off-label use of ingredients such as diluted neuromodulators delivered at the skin level rather than deeper tissue. Off-label use means the treatment is applied for a purpose not specifically listed in the FDA-approved labeling for each ingredient. The specific cocktail formulation and appropriateness are determined at consultation based on your anatomy, medical history, and goals.

What AquaGold microinfusion is

AquaGold Fine Touch is a patented microinfusion device containing 24-karat gold-plated, hair-thin needles (0.6 mm) arranged in a stamp that delivers a customized solution into the superficial layers of the skin. Unlike a traditional injectable, AquaGold targets the dermis and upper dermis rather than deeper tissue. The cocktail infused through the device is customized at treatment — common ingredients include diluted neuromodulators, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and growth factors. The specific formulation is determined at consultation.

Off-label use

The ingredients delivered via AquaGold — including neuromodulators and hyaluronic acid — may be used in ways that differ from their individually labeled indications. Intradermal delivery of diluted neuromodulators for pore minimization and sebum reduction, for example, is an off-label use. Off-label use does not indicate unsafe use; it reflects the clinical application of products beyond their specific labeled indications, which is common in aesthetic practice.

What AquaGold can address

AquaGold is used to improve skin texture, minimize the appearance of pores, enhance superficial hydration and luminosity, reduce facial redness, and subtly reduce surface oil production. It is not a treatment for volume loss, deep lines, or structural concerns. It works at the surface level and is often used in combination with other treatments for a comprehensive approach.

Who may be a candidate

Adults who want to address skin texture, pore size, hydration, and surface quality rather than volume or deep structural change. AquaGold is well-tolerated and well-suited as a standalone treatment or as a complement to neuromodulators, fillers, or skin health protocols. Candidacy is confirmed at consultation based on your skin condition and goals.

Who should avoid or delay treatment

AquaGold is not appropriate for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active acne, rosacea flare, or infection in the treatment area, have a known allergy to any component of the proposed cocktail, have a neuromuscular condition contraindicating neuromodulators (when included in the formulation), or have significant compromised skin barrier. Patients on isotretinoin should complete their course and observe the appropriate washout period before treatment.

What to expect during a session

After consultation and consent, the skin is cleansed and topical numbing cream is applied. The AquaGold device is filled with the customized solution and stamped evenly across the treatment area. Sessions typically take 20 to 30 minutes including preparation. The procedure causes minimal discomfort due to the fine needle size. Most patients notice improved glow and texture shortly after the initial swelling resolves.

Recovery and downtime

Minor redness, pinpoint swelling, and small superficial marks from needle contact are expected and typically resolve within a few hours to one day. Avoid makeup for 12 to 24 hours, vigorous exercise for 24 hours, and direct sun exposure for 48 hours after treatment. The results of AquaGold develop over the following days to weeks as the skin responds to the delivered ingredients.

Risks and side effects

Common: temporary redness, pinpoint bruising, and mild swelling immediately after treatment. Less common: temporary asymmetry or uneven surface texture if delivery is not uniform, localized reaction to a cocktail ingredient. The risks associated with any neuromodulators included in the formulation apply — including, rarely, temporary muscle weakness or drooping in the periorbital area if product migrates.

Alternatives

Alternatives for skin texture, pore quality, and hydration include medical-grade topical retinoid protocols, chemical peels, microneedling, PRF/PRP treatments, and traditional neuromodulators for the upper face. Many patients benefit from combining AquaGold with other protocols as part of a comprehensive skin health approach.

How long results last

Effects on texture and hydration typically last four to eight weeks. When neuromodulators are included in the formulation, their surface-level effect on pore size and sebum may persist for two to three months. Results vary based on individual skin type, the cocktail composition, and baseline skin quality. Repeat sessions every two to three months are common for ongoing maintenance.

When to contact us

Contact us if you develop unexpected swelling, asymmetry, or a reaction that concerns you after treatment. If neuromodulators were included and you notice eyelid or brow drooping, contact us promptly. Seek emergency care immediately if you develop signs of severe allergic reaction after treatment.
